2026 Pilgrim Artists Festival Submissions

We are excited to be hosting the 9th annual Pilgrim Artists Festival, from 9 to 18 October 2026, at the historic Kiln in Ranelagh, Tasmania.

We would love your submissions reflecting on our theme: Welcome

Entries are encouraged from Christian creatives of all ages, worldwide. Your entry need not be explicitly religious but should engage meaningfully with this year's theme.

Please note this year's submission fees and dates:

• Adults (18+) — free submissions to Sat, 5 Sep (end of day), then $10 per week extra to the closing date

• Youth (under 18) — free submissions to the closing date

• Closing date — Sat, 26 Sep (end of day), no late entries accepted


 

Prize Information

Literary Prizes
The 2026 Literary prizes for adults (18+) are:
• The $250 W.R. Gingell Prize for Fiction, with $100 Wandering Bookseller voucher
• The $250 Married by Josh Prize for Non-fiction, with $100 Wandering Bookseller voucher
• The $250 Wandering Bookseller Prize for Poetry, with $100 Wandering Bookseller voucher

In addition, university students and recent graduates (graduated in the last three years) are also eligible for:
• The $75 Award for Fiction by University Students and Recent Graduates
• The $75 Award for Non-fiction by University Students and Recent Graduates
• The $75 Award for Poetry by University Students and Recent Graduates

Prizes this year for teens (13-17) are:
• The $60 Dreamer's Prize for Teen Poetry
• The $60 Christina Baehr Prize for Teen Non-fiction
• The $60 Christina Baehr Prize for Teen Fiction

Prizes this year for children (12 and under) are:
• The $25 Suzannah Rowntree Prize for Child Poetry
• The $25 Suzannah Rowntree Prize for Child Non-fiction
• The $25 Suzannah Rowntree Prize for Child Fiction

Exhibition Prizes

• The Pilgrim Hill Acquisitive Award
• The $1000 Mandala People’s Choice Award, for the winner of the popular vote
